Dale Carnegie to grow 100%

| US-based global management training company, Dale Carnegie Training, wants to expand its footprint in India. |
| The company is planning to open more training centres as well as tie up with more schools and colleges for soft skills training. |
| Dale Carnegie has corporate training centres in Delhi, Pune and Bangalore and centres in Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai will be opened in the next six months. It has been working with schools and colleges in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore, and will also venture into Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. |
| At present, Dale Carnegie provides training to executives from over 400 companies. Executives are trained in skills like customer services, salesand communication skills. |
| "We focus on talent development to make the employees more effective and we find that the training required by Indian executives is not different from the training required anywhere else in the world. Basically, business issues remain the same," says Chairman, President and CEO Peter V Handal. |
| The company also trains school and college students in skills like participating in a group discussion, building self esteem and some professional skills. |
| "Today, youngsters need professional training even before they take up jobs. For example, after students write the CAT, they have to know how to give interviews and participate in group discussions," Dale Carnegie Training India, MD, Pallavi Jha said. |
| Interestingly, last year the company worked with several high level politicians in the field of public skills and expects to work with many more this year. It also has an executive training programme where it trains CEOs and high-level executives. |
| "We started seven years ago in India and have seen highgrowth.This year we expect to grow over 100 per cent," Jha said. |
