J D Birla launches management course

J D Birla Institute has launched a three-year management course consisting of 34 papers with specialisation in marketing, production and finance. The fee for the course is Rs 2,500 per month.

Inaugurating the satellite centre of the J D Birla School of Management, S K Birla, chairman of the institute, said it would introduce a center for enterpreneurship in next year.

"A management course in enterpreneurship was required in the country, especially in West Bengal," he added.

B K Jhawar, chief of the advisory board of the management programme, stressed on the primary objective of the institute which was to instill a spirit of enterpreneurship among the students.

The institute and the course was selected by the British Council for international links with British Universities and selected in its inward mission programme to UK last summer.

Recently, the business schools on Northumbria University has signed an articulation programme with the institute for post graduate link with its business programmes. This would ensure a fast track MBA in UK for all students of the institute.
