Breadth very -ve; Reliance, Tata Steel down 4%

The NSE Nifty is down 122 points at 4,382.

Hindalco has plunged over 6% to Rs 161.

Reliance Communications and Jaiprakash Associates have tumbled around 5.5% each to Rs 498 and Rs 168, respectively.

Ambuja Cements and Tata Steel have dropped over 4% each to Rs 86 and Rs 781, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance and DLF have shed 4% each at Rs 972, Rs 2,157 and Rs 460, respectively.

Maruti, SBI and TCS have slipped over 3% each to Rs 723, Rs 1,260 and Rs 858, respectively.

Satyam and Bharti Airtel are down 2.8% each at Rs 458 and Rs 782, respectively.

 

ONGC has rallied over 3% to Rs 880.

Out of 2,641 stocks traded so far, 2,151 have declined, 441 have advanced and 49 are unchanged.
