Nifty slips 113pts; Hindalco drops 6%

The NSE Nifty is down 113 points at 4,391.

Hindalco has plunged nearly 6% to Rs 163.

Reliance Communications and Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled nearly 5% each to Rs 501 and Rs 169, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance have shed 4% each at Rs 971 and Rs 2,159, respectively.

Ambuja Cements and DLF have dropped 3.5% each to Rs 86 and Rs 461, respectively.

Maruti, TCS and Tata Steel have declined 3.3% each to Rs 722, Rs 857 and Rs 789, respectively.

ONGC has gained 2.4% at Rs 874. NTPC has advanced over 1% to Rs 167.

Out of 2,606 stocks traded so far, 2,069 have declined, 481 have advanced and 56 are unchanged.
