Weakness persists; ONGC up 2%

The NSE Nifty is down 100 points at 4,404.
Reliance Communications has plunged 5.3% to Rs 499, and Jaiprakash Associates has shed 4.3% to Rs 170.
Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance and Maruti have slipped over 4% each to Rs 971, Rs 2,154 and Rs 717, respectively.

Ambuja Cements has dropped 3.8% to Rs 86. DLF and Cipla have declined around 3.5% each to Rs 461 and Rs 210, respectively.
TCS, SBI and Tata Motors are down 3% each to Rs 859, Rs 1,263 and Rs 489, respectively.
ONGC has gained 2.3% at Rs 873. NTPC has added 1% to Rs 167.
The market breadth is negative - out of 2,583 stocks traded so far, 2,053 have declined, 475 have advanced and 55 are unchanged.
