Cardamom up on lower output concerns
Speculative buying pulled prices higher

Cardamom prices moved up by Rs 5.50 to Rs 1,313.20 per kg in futures trading today on increased buying by speculators, triggered by lower output concerns following adverse weather conditions and pick up in export demand.
At the MCX, cardamom for delivery in June rose by Rs 5.50, or 0.42%, to Rs 1,313.20 per kg, with a business turnover of 269 lots.
The July traded higher by Rs 3.90, or 0.30%, to Rs 1,300 per kg in 63 lots.
Traders said apart from lower production concerns due to adverse weather and increased export demand mainly led to a rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
