Castorseed futures move down on aggressive selling

Castorseed prices tumbled by Rs 37.50 to Rs 3,450 per quintal in futures trading today on profit selling at prevailing higher levels.

Increased supply in physical markets further led to a fall here in futures prices of castorseed.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, castorseed prices for March-month contract weakened by Rs 37.50, or 1.08 per cent to Rs 3,450 per quintal, with an open interest of 680 lots.

Current December delivery also declined by Rs 19, or 0.48 per cent to Rs 3,902 per quintal, with an open interest of 4,120 lots.
