Press Trust of India New Delhi

Copper futures rose by 0.44 per cent to Rs 363.75 per kg today on the back of a firming trend overseas and US dollar weakness.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, copper for November delivery shot up by Rs 1.60, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 363.75 per kg, with a turnover of 2,383 lots. November copper futures had ended flat at Rs 362.15 per kg in the previous session.

Copper futures for February contract delivery also edged up by Rs 1.55, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 365.70 per kg, with a turnover of 152 lots.
