Copper rises in futures trade on global cues

Copper prices rose marginally by 0.03% to Rs 398.35 per kg in futures trade today, buoyed by a firming trend on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February was up by 25 paise, or 0.03%, at Rs 398.35 per kg, in a turnover of 2,987 lots.
The metal for delivery in April gained by a similar margin to Rs 402.25 per kg, clocking a business volume of 232 lots.
Copper for three-month delivery gained 0.27% to $7,475 in early trade on the LME.
