Dow Jones surges 46 pts

US markets finished on a mixed note yesterday. While Dow Jones advanced 46 points to 10,852, the Nasdaq was down a point at 2,060.

Indian floats were disappointing and largely ended with losses. Satyam and Wipro slipped marginally to close at $23.28 and $21.51, respectively. Infosys, however, was up 1.35% at $75.76.

While HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Dr. Reddy's and Tata Motors finished on a sluggish note, MTNL moved up 2.9% to $7.44. VSNL also ended in the green at $9.96.
