Fortis Healthcare hits 52-week high as Jhunjhunwala buys stake

Fortis Healthcare is trading higher by 2% at Rs 142, extending its previous day’s 20% rally on BSE, after investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala bought nearly one percentage point stake in the company via a bulk deal on Wednesday.
On February 11, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala acquired 3.4 million shares representing 0.75% stake of Fortis Healthcare at a price of Rs 119.35 on BSE, according to exchange data.
The stock opened at Rs 143 and touched a 52-week high of Rs 147 on BSE. Till 1306 hours, a combined 10.43 million shares changed hands on the counter on BSE and NSE.
