Gur chakku eases in thin trade

Barring a fall in gur chakku on reduced offtake, the wholesale jaggery market today ruled steady in the absence of any market moving report.
Market analysts said adequate stocks against reduced offtake by stockists led to the fall in gur chakku prices.
In Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku declined by Rs 25 to Rs 2,325-2,500 per quintal.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,200-2,300, chakku Rs 2,325-2,500 and Khurpa N.T
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,700-2,750 and Dhaya Rs NA
