Gur ends quiet on small buying, ample stocks

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market showed a quiet trend in the national capital today as prices moved in a limited range on scattered small buying activities against sufficient stocks position.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market too finished quiet in thin trade.
Market analysts said after registering a sharp rise of around Rs 150 yesterday, the prices moved in narrow range on adequate stocks position.
They said restricted buying due to adversed weather conditions further kept the prices unaltered.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 3,000-3,100, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,350-2,450, chakku Rs 2,500-2,700 and Khurpa Rs 2,550-2,600
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2,750 and Dhaya Rs 2,900-3,000
