HCL Infosystems surges 20% on heavy volumes

At 1050 hours, a combined 20.53 million shares have changed hands on the NSE and BSE.

HCL Infosystems has surged 20% to Rs 34.10 on back multiple bulk deals on the NSE and BSE. The stock opened at Rs 28.45 and touched a low of Rs 28.15 so far on the NSE.

At 1050 hours, a combined 20.53 million shares representing around 9% of total equity of HCL Infosystems have changed hands on the counter. In past two weeks on an average sub 2 million shares were traded on the NSE and BSE.

About 1 million shares have changed at Rs 34.10 per share and another 1 million shares at Rs 33.85 a piece, the BSE data shows.

The name of buyers and sellers are not immediately known.
