ITC GDR down 1.36%

ADR/GDR REPORT

The Instanex Skindia DR Index (ISDI) was down 0.05 per cent to 1,159.87 in the early morning trades on Monday. Among the ISDI global depository receipts, four GDRs remained unchanged and three GDRs lost ground.

The major losers were Hindalco, down 1.65 per cent to $29.75, Reliance, down 1.54 per cent to $25, and ITC, down 1.36 per cent to $29.

The ISDI, representing the GDRs and ADRs of 15 actively traded companies, edged up by 0.54 per cent to 1,163.20 on January 7 from the previous level of 1,156.91. The ISDI price to earnings ratio also inched up by 0.22 per cent to 18.65 from its previous level of 18.61.

Among the ISDI GDRs and ADRs, there were eight gainers, five losers, while two ruled steady. Among the ISDI ADRs, three ADRs gained and five ADRs lost ground.

The major gainers were HDFC Bank, up 3.67 per cent to $40.91, VSNL, up 3.05 per cent to $10.49, and Dr Reddy's up 0.93 per cent to $18.38. The major losers were MTNL, down 2.26 per cent to $7.35, Wipro, down 1.96 per cent to $21.52, and Satyam, down 1.12 per cent to $22.16.
