Lead loses 0.18% on weak global cues

Lead prices fell marginally by 0.18% to Rs 109.65 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded their positions in tandem with a weakening global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in February fell by 20 paise, or 0.18%, to Rs 109.65 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,816 lots.
The March contract shed 15 paise, or 0.14%, to Rs 110.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 168 lots.
Market analysts said besides a weakening global trend, fall in spot market demand pulled down lead futures prices.
Meanwhile, lead traded a shade lower at $2,236.50 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
