Markets firm; HDFC, Satyam advance 3%

The NSE Nifty is up 32 points at 4,285.

Satyam and HDFC have surged 3% each to Rs 459 and Rs 2,234, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates has rallied 2.7% to Rs 159. Infosys and Reliance has advanced over 2% each to Rs 1,788 and Rs 2,181, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure and BHEL have gained 1.5% each at Rs 964 and Rs 1,463, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped 2.5% to Rs 526. Hindustan Unilever and Maruti have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 212 and Rs 681, respectively.

NTPC has dropped 1.3% to Rs 155. DLF and Tata Motors are down 1% each at Rs 453 and Rs 470, respecitvely.
