Medium sugar drifts on subdued demand

Medium sugar prices drifted further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on sustained selling by stockists amidst reduced retail buying.

Meanwhile, small sugar variety showed a mixed pattern of trading due to alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) slipped by Rs 14 per quintal to Rs 2,936/3,051 from overnight closing level of Rs 2,950/ 3,051.

Small sugar quality (S-30), however was quoted at Rs 2,910/2,965, compared to Rs 2,921/2,961 yesterday.
