Mentha oil prices fell 0.88% to Rs 825 per kg in futures trade today on profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels amid increased arrivals in the physical markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in October fell Rs 7.40, or 0.88%, to Rs 825 per kg, with a business volume of 111 lots.
Similarly, mentha for delivery in November traded Rs 2.70, or 0.31%, lower at Rs 842.40 per kg with a trading volume of 202 lots.
Traders said the fall in mentha prices at futures market was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators at higher levels amid increased arrivals from producing regions of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
