Mentha oil gains 1.95% on rising demand

Buoyed by a rising domestic and export demand, mentha oil futures prices rose by Rs 42.20 to Rs 2,211 per kg today.
Tight supplies in the physical markets following restricted supplies from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh also supported the upsurge in mentha oil.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the April contract for mentha oil climbed 42.20, or 1.95%, to Rs 2,211 per kg in business turnover of 618 lots.
The March contract March shot up by Rs 40, or 1.90%, to Rs 2,148.40 per kg in 197 lots.
Marketmen said apart from strong domestic and export demand, fall in supplies from producing regions, also supported the upside in mentha oil prices at futures market.
