Mentha oil shed 0.69% on profit-booking
Sluggish demand also pulled prices lower

Mentha oil prices fell 0.69% to Rs 1,360 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid sluggish demand in the spot market.
Reports of higher production estimates in the current year also kept pressure on mentha oil prices.
At the MCX, mentha oil for delivery in June declined by Rs 9.50, or 0.69%, to Rs 1,360 per kg in business turnover of 644 lots.
The July contract shed Rs 8.90, or 0.64%, to Rs 1,377.10 per kg in 232 lots.
The fall in mentha oil futures was mostly attributed to profit-booking by speculators amid a weak trend at spot markets on sluggish demand, traders said.
