Mentha oil up on demand

Pick-up in demand from pharmaceautical units influenced the price

Mentha oil futures rose by Rs 3 to Rs 1,450.50 per kg today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the February contract rose by Rs 3, or 0.21% to Rs 1,450.50 per kg in 28 lots.

Similarly, the January contract traded higher by Rs 1.80, or 0.13% to Rs 1,435 per kg in 545 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions by speculators, pick-up in demand from pharmaceutical units and limited arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh led to mentha oil futures trading high.
