NBCC hit a new high of Rs 299, up 8% on the BSE after the state-owned construction firm said that it has secured total business amounting of Rs 1,117 crore in the month of September, 2016. The stock had rallied 7% on Tuesday.
The company secured work amounting Rs 440 crore (approx) from ESIC, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India for construction of 100 bedded hospital(s) at Haridwar & Dehradun (Uttarakhand) and 300 bedded hospital at Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
It secured work amounting of Rs 270 crore (approx) for construction of the University Grants Commission building complex in the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus in New Delhi.
At 09:33 am, the stock was up 6% at Rs 294 on the BSE, as compared to 0.24% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex. A combined 1.83 million shares changed hands on the counter in first 18 minutes of trade on the BSE and NSE.
