Nickel up marginally in range-bound trade

Nickel futures rose by 0.26% to Rs 1,029.40 per kg in range-bound trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in February rose by Rs 2.70, or 0.26%, to Rs 1,029.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,656 lots.

The March contract gained Rs 2.60, or 0.25%, to Rs 1,035.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 140 lots.

Analysts said rising demand at domestic spot markets from alloy-makers, influenced nickel futures prices here.
