Sensex at day's low; Reliance down 7%

The NSE Nifty is down 111 points at 4,322.

ICICI Bank has slumped 9.7% to Rs 657. HDFC Bank has tumbled 7% to Rs 1,130, and HDFC has plunged over 6% to Rs 2,209.

Reliance has shed 6.8% at Rs 2,150. Jaiprakash Associates has slipped over 4% to Rs 995, and Reliance  Infrastructure has dropped 3.5% to Rs 991.

ONGC and DLF have declined 3% each to Rs 997 and Rs 492, respectively. BHEL has shed 2.5% at Rs 1,681.

Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Cipla are down around 2% each at Rs 430, Rs 619 and Rs 227, respectively.

 

Ranbaxy has surged nearly 3% to Rs 480. ACC has rallied 2.5% to Rs 575.

NTPC, Hindustan Unilever and Satyam have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 189, Rs 232 and Rs 375, respectively.

Grasim and Reliance Communications are up 1.3% each at Rs 1,855 and Rs 508, respectively.

Out of 2,604 stocks traded so far, 1,400 have declined, 1,118 have advanced and 86 are unchanged.
