Sensex down over 400pts; ICICI Bank slips 9%

The NSE Nifty is down 91 points at 4,342.

ICICI Bank has slumped 8.7% to Rs 664. HDFC Bank has tumbled 7% to Rs 1,129, and HDFC has plunged over 6% to Rs 2,211.

Reliance has shed 6.3% at Rs 2,160. Reliance  Infrastructure has slipped over 3% to Rs 995.

ONGC and Jaiprakash Associates have dropped 2.8% each to Rs 999 and Rs 166, respectively.

Tata Motors and Cipla have declined 1.6% each to Rs 433 and Rs 228, respectively.

Tata Steel, DLF and BHEL are down over 1% each at Rs 623, Rs 501 and Rs 1,706, respectively.

Ranbaxy has surged over 3% to Rs 482. ACC has moved up 2.3% to Rs 574.

 

Reliance Communications, Hindalco, Grasim and Satyam have advanced 2% each to Rs 511, Rs 155, Rs 1,865 and Rs 376, respectively.

NTPC and Hindustan Unilever are up over 1.5% each at Rs 189 and Rs 231, respectively. SBI is up 1.3% at Rs 1,497.

Out of 2,577 stocks traded so far, 1,354 have declined, 1,137 have advanced and 86 are unchanged.
