Sensex down 123pts; Tata Steel plunges 4%

The Sensex is now down 123 points at 11,792.

Tata Steel has slumped 4% to Rs 627. Hindalco has dropped 2.5% to Rs 207.

Grasim has shed over 2% to Rs 2,326. ACC is down 1.5% at Rs 942.

Tata Motors, Maruti and Bajaj Auto have slipped 2% each to Rs 939, Rs 881 and Rs 2,873, respectively.

NTPC and Tata Power are down nearly 2% each at Rs 132 and Rs 561, respectively.

Satyam up 1.7% at Rs 786 continues to be the sole significant gainer among the Sensex stocks.
