Sensex down 26pts; Bharti, Wipro shine

The Sensex is now down 26 points at 14,104.

Bharti Airtel and Wipro have surged over 1.5% each to Rs 672 and Rs 637, respectively.

ACC, Satyam, BHEL and Larsen & Toubro have advanced over 1% each to Rs 1,097, Rs 507, Rs 2,246 and Rs 1,514, respectively.

HDFC has shed 2% to Rs 1,565. Hindalco and Ranbaxy are down around 1% each to Rs 170 and Rs 426, respectively.

Out of 2,654 stocks traded so far, 1,334 have advanced, 1,260 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
