Sensex down 40pts; Hindalco, Infosys slip

The Sensex is now down 40 points at 14,090.

ACC has gained 1.5% at Rs 1,099. Satyam and Wipro have spurted over 1% each to Rs 507 and Rs 634, respectively.

HDFC has dropped 2.2% to Rs 1,561. Ranbaxy has slipped 1.4% to Rs 425.

Hindalco and Infosys are down 1% each to Rs 171 and Rs 2,223, respectively.

Out of 2,644 stocks traded so far, 1,329 have advanced, 1,268 have declined and 47 are unchanged.
