Sensex down 94pts; SBI sheds 3%

The NSE Nifty is down 23 points at 4,852.

SBI has tumbled 3.4% to Rs 1,486. HDFC has plunged 2.7% to Rs 2,503.

Tata Steel and ICICI Bank have declined 2% each to Rs 857 and Rs 810, respectively.

Reliance has shed 1.5% to Rs 2,487, and HDFC Bank has dropped 1.4% to Rs 1,328.

ONGC is down 1.2% at Rs 886, and Jaiprakash Associates has lost 0.8% to Rs 223.

Wipro and ITC have surged over 3% to Rs 494 and Rs 212, respectively.

Cipla has gained 2.8% to Rs 204, while Satyam has advanced 2.3% to Rs 494.

 

BHEL is up 1.4% to Rs 1,680. Reliance Communications has added 1.2% to Rs 549.

NTPC and Ambuja Cements are up nearly 1% each to Rs 177 and Rs 97, respectively.
