The Sensex has pared gains and is now up 193 points at 11,995.
ONGC has surged 5.3% to Rs 1,032. Jaiprakash Associates and Bharti Airtel have rallied 4.5% each to Rs 105 and Rs 762, respectively.
SBI, Reliance Infrastructure and DLF have gained 4% each at Rs 1,495, Rs 664 and Rs 314, respectively.
HDFC has advanced 3.8% to Rs 2,040. Ranbaxy, Reliance and Grasim have moved up 3.5% each to Rs 256, Rs 1,699 and Rs 1,646, respectively.
ICICI Bank and Reliance Communications have added 3.3% each to Rs 507 and Rs 310, respectively.
BHEL and Tata Motors are up over 3% each at Rs 1,496 and Rs 324, respectively.
ITC has slumped 3.7% to Rs 174. Larsen & Toubro is down over 1% at Rs 1,071.
