The Sensex has pared some gains and is now up 344 points at 10,132.
Tata Motors and Reliance Infrastructure have zoomed 10.7% each to Rs 190 and Rs 506, respectively.
ICICI Bank has soared nearly 9% to Rs 435. DLF and SBI have surged 8.5% each to Rs 239 and Rs 1,203, respectively.
Hindalco has gained 7.5% at Rs 65. Larsen & Toubro, HDFC and Maruti have advanced around 75 each to Rs 863, Rs 1,890 and Rs 603, respectively.
Tata Steel has added 5% to Rs 221.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,409 stocks traded, 1,836 have advanced, 517 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
