Sensex rebounds; tech stocks still weak

The NSE Nifty is up 20 points at 4,182.

TCS and Satyam have tumbled nearly 2.8% each to Rs 844 and Rs 465, respectively. Wipro and Infosys have shed 2.4% each at Rs 421 and Rs 1,764, respectively.

HDFC has dropped over 2% to Rs 2,070. ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever are down 1% each to Rs 610 and Rs 215, respectively.

Hindalco has surged 3.5% to Rs 159, and Bharti Airtel has gained 3.3% at Rs 767.

Ambuja Cements has moved up 2% to Rs 81. ACC, DLF and Tata Motors have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 561, Rs 465 and Rs 405, repsectively.

 

SBI and BHEL are up over 1% each at Rs 1,247 and Rs 1,582, respectively.
