Sensex slips 86pts; SBI drops 3%

The Sensex has extended losses and is now down 86 points at 10,837.

Reliance Energy has gained 1.8% at Rs 463. Bajaj Auto and Grasim were up 1% each at Rs 2,600 and Rs 2,137, respectively.

SBI has shed 2.7% to Rs 808. Cipla has slipped 2.2% to Rs 228.

ICICI Bank and ITC have dropped 2% each to Rs 545 and Rs 168, respectively.

Reliance, ITC and HLL are down 1.7% each at Rs 971, Rs 168 and Rs 221, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Hero Honda and Tata Motors are the other prominent losers.

Out of 2,482 stocks traded so far, 1,419 have declined, 977 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
