Sensex slips into red; ITC, HLL drop too

| The Sensex has slipped into negative zone and is now down five points at 10,918. Reliance Energy and Grasim have gained over 1.5% each at Rs 462 and Rs 2,149, respectively. Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, TCS, Dr.Reddy's, HDFC, Tata Steel and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each. SBI has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 815. Larsen & Toubro and ITC have shed 1.6% each to Rs 2,238 and Rs 169, respectively. HLL is down 1% at Rs 223. Out of 2,438 stocks traded so far, 1,327 have declined, 1,030 have advanced and the rest are unchanged. |
