Sensex up 102pts; HDFC advances 3%

The Sensex is now up 102 points at 11,025.

HDFC has rallied 2.7% to Rs 1,259. Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto and ONGC have advanced 2% each to Rs 520, Rs 407, Rs 2,624 and Rs 1,208, respectively.

TCS, Reliance Energy, BHEL, Ranbaxy and Hindalco have gained over 1.5% each.

SBI has slipped 1% to Rs 821.

Out of 2,276 stocks traded so far, 1,223 have advanced, 978 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
