Sensex up 139pts; Satyam soars 7%

The Sensex touched a high of 13,060, and is now up 139 points at 12,999.

Larsen & Toubro is trading ex-bonus at Rs 1,204.

Satyam has zoomed 6.5% to Rs 316, and Jaiprakash Associates has soared 5.5% to Rs 117.

Infosys has surged 3.5% to Rs 1,447. Grasim and Tata Steel have rallied over 3% each to Rs 1,740 and Rs 439, respectively.

Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank have gained 2.8% each at Rs 254 and Rs 1,262, respectively.

ICICI Bank and ITC have advanced 2.5% each to Rs 548 and Rs 193, respectively.

ACC, HDFC and Wipro are up around 2% each at Rs 625, Rs 2,187 and Rs 346, respectively .

 

Sterlite has slipped over 1% to Rs 424.

Out of 2,294 stocks traded so far, 1,307 have advanced, 935 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
