Sensex up 14pts; Cipla slips 3%

The NSE Nifty is up 10 points at 5,122.

Cipla has plunged over 3% to Rs 217. Tata Steel has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 788.

Wipro has slipped 1.7% to Rs 458.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has surged 3.5% to Rs 254. HDFC Bank has rallied 2% to Rs 1,528.

Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications have moved up over 1.5% each to Rs 486 and Rs 585, respectively.

HDFC, Bharti Airtel and DLF are up over 1% each at Rs 2,729, Rs 937 and Rs 676, respectively.

Out of 2,457 stocks traded so far, 1,454 have advanced, 948 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
