Silver moves up 0.8% in futures trade on global cues

Silver prices rose Rs 353 to Rs 43,950 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions buoyed by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July traded Rs 353, or 0.81%, higher at Rs 43,950 per kg in business turnover of 3,663 lots.
Likewise, silver for delivery in the September contract traded higher by Rs 335, or 0.76%, to Rs 44,371 per kg in 251 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators buoyed by a firm global trend, mainly influenced silver prices at futures trade here.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.2% to $21.91 an ounce in Singapore.
