Sugar closes quiet on some support

Sugar market ended on a flat note in the national capital today as prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled at last levels.

Market analysts said restricted buying against adequate stocks kept sugar prices unchanged.

Following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal.

Sugar ready M-30 2,900-3,000 and S-30 2,870-2,990.

Mill delivery M-30 2,700-2,890 and S-30 2,675-2,865.

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,870, Asmoli 2,850, Mawana 2,810, Titabi 2,810, Thanabhavan 2,700, Budhana 2700 and Dorala 2,800.
