Sugar declines on sluggish demand

Sugar prices declined at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to reduced offtake from retailers amid adequate stock positions.
Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 14 per quintal to Rs 2,600/2,652 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 2,600/2,666.
Medium sugar (M-30) also eased by Rs 3/5 per quintal to Rs 2,668/2,796 as against Rs 2,671/2,801 last weekend.
The following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal), with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,600/2,652 (Rs 2,600/2,666)
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,668/2,796 (Rs 2,671/2,801)
