Sugar ends mixed on lower demand

Both varieties of sugar traded in mixed pattern at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on subdued stockist demand amidst adequate supply position. 

Small sugar quality (S-30) quoted at Rs 2,960/3,005 per quintal from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 2,950/3,011. 

Medium sugar quality (M-30) were quoted at Rs 3,001/3,051 per quintal, as against Rs 2,996/3,061 previously. 

The following are today's closing rates per quintal, with the previous rates in brackets:
