Sugar remains flat in thin trade

Sugar prices closed on a flat note today as prices moved in a limited range on small alternate bouts of trading before ending at last levels.

Market analysts said supply and offtake remained almost at par and kept the prices moving around last levels.

The following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal.

Sugar ready M-30 3,150-3,275 and S-30 3,125-3,250
Mill delivery M-30 2,900-3,075 and S-30 2,890-3,065
