Sugar remains quiet on some support

There was no change in the pattern of trading in the wholesale sugar market today as prices continued to be asked at last levels in the absence of any worthwhile moving factors.

Market analysts said prices hovered around previous levels in thin trade amid adequate stocks position.

Following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal.

Sugar ready M-30 2,900-3,000 and S-30 2,870-2,990.

Mill delivery M-30 2,700-2,890 and S-30 2,675-2,865.

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,860, Asmoli 2,850, Mawana 2,800, Titabi 2,810, Thanabhavan 2,700, Budhana 2700 and Dorala 2,800.
