Turmeric falls 0.82% on weak overseas demand
Better rains in producing regions influences prices

Turmeric prices fell by 0.82% to Rs 6,050 per quintal in futures market today on weak overseas demand and better rains in key producing regions.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in September fell by Rs 50, or 0.82%, to Rs 6,050 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,915 lots.
October turmeric traded lower by Rs 14, or 0.25%, to Rs 5,648 per quintal in 18,355 lots.
Marketmen said weak overseas demand and better rains in producing regions influenced turmeric prices at futures trade.
