Turmeric gains 0.47% on spot demand

The turmeric futures for May rose by Rs 32, or 0.47% to Rs 6,890 per quintal in 6,582 lots at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.

The April contract traded higher by Rs 26, or 0.38% to Rs 6,800 per quintal in 28,540 lots.
Experts said improved spot market demand, expectations of lower output also influenced turmeric futures trade.
