Turmeric up more than 1% on thin supply

Turmeric futures for April gained Rs 82, or 1.20% to Rs 6,900 per quintal in 1,010 lots.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the May contract gained Rs 74, or 1.06% to Rs 7076 per quintal in 27,335 lots.
Prices rose as participants created speculative positions triggered by thin supplies from producing regions.
