Welspun Corp bags Rs 1,670 cr orders; scrip climbs over 4%

Pipe manufacturer Welspun Corp today said it has received new orders worth Rs 1,670 crore from the international markets.

The new pipe and plate orders will be executed over a period of one year, Welspun said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company's current order book stands at Rs 6,150 crore, excluding orders being executed in the current quarter, the filing added.

Boosted by the news, the company scrip jumped by 4.42 per cent to an early high of Rs 178 on BSE.
