Wheat dara, maize strengthen on sustained buying

Wheat and maize prices strengthened on the wholesale grains market today on sustained buying against restricted arrivals.
Traders said increased buying by flour mills to meet rising demand, helped wheat dara prices to strengthen.
Wheat dara (for mills)remained in demand and added another Rs 10 to Rs 1,330-1,335, while wheat deshi traded at Rs 1,650-1,800 against last close of Rs 1650-1765 per quintal.
Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1335-1340 and atta flour mills and maida gained Rs 10 each to Rs 690-710 and Rs 770-800, while sooji moved up by Rs 20 to Rs 810-830 per 50 kg in line with wheat trend.
Maize also moved up by Rs 30 to Rs 1,050-1,060 per quintal.
