Eveready Industries, Future Consumer, Minda Industries, Raymond, Rallis India, NCC, SRF, Kansai Nerolac, Nava Bharat Ventures and Pidilite Industries too hit 52-week highs in intra-day trade today.
Varun Beverages surged 16% to Rs 619, also its 52-week high on the BSE in intra-day deal, after the company announced that its board has approved a proposal to sign an agreement to acquire PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt.'s previously franchised sub-territory in Jharkhand along with manufacturing facilities and franchise rights for Chhattisgarh.
Wockhardt has surged 12% to Rs 893, extending its 5% gain in past two trading sessions on the BSE. According to Moneycontrol report, the drug maker Wockhardt will be offering its Waluj facility near Aurangabad, Maharashtra in early 2018 for US FDA inspection.
Sun TV Network hit 52-week high of Rs 996, up 6% after a special CBI court acquitted all the keys accused in the 2G scam. According to allegations, Maran family-owned Sun TV Network was a beneficiary of pay-offs in the 2G scam by an overseas telecom firm.
Pidilite Industries gained 5% to Rs 934 in intra-day trade after the company announced that its board will meet on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 to consider the proposal to buyback the equity shares of the Company.
KNR Constructions soared 14% to Rs 313 after the company said Smt Kamidi Yashoda sold more than one percentage point stake in the company through open market.
On December 19, 2017, Smt Kamidi Yashoda had sold 1.6 million equity shares representing 1.14% of total equity of KNR Constructions at price of Rs 276 per share through open market, the company said in a regulatory filing. Post transaction, Smt Kamidi Yashoda holding in the company reduced to 4.27% from 5.41% earlier.
The name of buyers not identified immediately. However, recent trend shows that most of the promoters offloading their stake to institutional investors to reduce debut of the company.
